Hotel/Venue Etiquette - Often Pageants and Pageant families are looked at in an unfavorably light. Island of Dreams pageant prides it's self on showing pageants in a positive light. While you are at the event, we request that you act in a manner that would show what a great group of people we are. Please refrain from profanity, clean up any messes made, and supervise the children.
Late Contestants- We do our best to follow our daily schedule as a respect to the contestants and their families. We do know that occasionally things come up that are beyond our control, both for the pageant and for the contestants. We ask that you do your best to be ready when your group is called to line up. We will never count a potty training toddler late who has a last second potty emergency, or a teen who has a wardrobe malfunction at the last minute. We do ask that you do not take advantage of this and use these for real emergency situations.
Parties- Island of Dreams is famous for putting together extremely fun parties for the contestants and occasionally ones for the whole family. We do this so that the contestants can continue to have fun and not feel like they are waiting "FOREVER" for the crowning ceremony.

Items left behind- We will not hold any items that get left behind. If you leave personal items in the dressing or pageant areas, these will be left with the hotel and you can arrange pick up with them. If you leave pageant items (photogenic entries, score sheets, awards, music etc) we will dispose of these items unless we are contacted before leaving the venue.
Stage Photography- We generally have a professional photographer that will photograph all of the contestants on stage. These photos are sold directly through this photographer at a reasonable rate. We do not allow ANY photography from individuals while contestants are on stage performing or getting crowned. Please take as many photos prior to the pageant starting, during the party, and once crowning is concluded you may take photographs at the front of the room of your contestant with their winnings. IF you are found to be taking photographs of Stage Events you will be asked DIRECTLY to leave.
Dressing Rooms- IOD provides dressing rooms for the contestants convenience. We have a few rules: No men. If you are a father/Guardian who needs to get their contestant ready, let me know ahead of time or make other arrangements. Please be responsible with taking photos in the dressing room. A cute friendship hug can show changing girls in the back ground. If this becomes a problem, we will ban photos all together in the dressing area. Clean up all of your own messes. The dressing room is provided for the time that the pageant competition is going on. We generally have the parties during the break in the dressing room, so clean up should be done before this time.
Island of Dreams believes in Giving back to our communities. We choose a charity for each of our events and use it as our platform to help others and to enforce our belief that being a pageant girl is not just about beauty and having fun. As a pageant girl these girls are leaders and have the ability to make a big difference in the world. When Island Girls get involved we can move mountains! As a reward to the girl who does the most for our charity they will be awarded a special award and gift onstage at the event. At the State pageant we will be awarding the Little Miss Sunshine Title! This is an actual state title.
